Ankh Pale Ale -- (in search of the Eternal Brew)
This recipe is by far the favorite of yours truly, hence it's location in the cookbook. I use this as a basis for just about all Pale Ales I've made.
6-7 lbs. Amber Malt Extract
1 lb. cracked Crystal grain
1 lb. cracked Victory Malt
2 oz. Northern Brewers Hops
1-2 oz. Chinook Hops --finishing
1 pkg. London Ale Wyeast
I've used several variations of this recipe, including lower Alpha Acid hops, a little more or less extract or grain, or a bit of beer sugar to "spice" things up when I felt it was necessary.
